The Toronto Humane Society means a lot to everyone who has ever visited, found their forever friend or volunteered. However, this second chance at life means more to the animals who often have escaped kill shelters, abusive homes or neglect . For over a year, the doors of our beloved shelter have been closed to the public, meaning less enrichment for dogs, fewer adoptions and a huge lack of donations overall. In these difficult times, getting these dogs across the border out of kill shelters in the US is becoming more difficult, and we have fewer resources.
My time at the Toronto Humane Society means more than I can put into words. It is incredibly close to my heart, as I have known our long stay dogs for years, become friends with the staff and watched so many struggling animals get their happily ever after. The selfless work THS does astounds and inspires me daily.
For my birthday this year, I would love if you could contribute to this place that is very special to me. If you are willing and/or able to give anything, no matter how big or small, please know 100% of those proceeds will go to the Canine Sector where I work and help give a new life to animals in need.
